Account & Data Deletion Policy
This policy explains how users of the BlinkMoney platform can request deletion of their account and associated personal data, and what data is retained post-deletion in compliance with applicable regulations.

1. How to Request Account Deletion
- Email: Send a deletion request from your registered email to ankita.a@blinkmoney.in with subject line 'Account Deletion Request'.
- Phone: Call our customer care at +91 90043 11470 during working hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Mon–Fri).
- Identity verification may be required before processing your deletion request.
2. Pre-Deletion Requirements
- All pending investment transactions must be completed or cancelled before deletion.
- Any outstanding credit line balance must be fully repaid prior to account deletion.
- Mutual fund holdings must be redeemed, or you must confirm consent for us to process redemption on your behalf.
- Linked bank accounts and mandates will be de-registered upon deletion.
3. What Gets Deleted
- Your profile information (name, email, phone, address) from active production systems.
- App preferences, notification settings, and usage history.
- Linked device tokens and session data.
4. What We Retain (Regulatory Obligations)
- KYC documents and identity records: minimum 5 years post account closure (as mandated under PMLA, 2002 and AMFI guidelines).
- Transaction records (investment orders, redemptions, loan records): minimum 5 years.
- Communication records related to disputes or regulatory queries: as required by applicable law.
- Tax-related records: as mandated by the Income Tax Act, 1961.
5. Processing Timeline
- Account deletion requests are acknowledged within 7 working days.
- Active account deletion (removal from production systems) is completed within 15 business days of verification.
- Regulatory data archival is completed within 30 working days. Archived data is encrypted and access-restricted.
6. Impact of Deletion
- You will lose access to your investment portfolio, transaction history, and credit line.
- Tax statements (e.g., capital gains statements) for completed financial years will remain accessible for 90 days after deletion initiation.
- Portfolio data cannot be recovered once deletion is confirmed. We recommend downloading all statements before requesting deletion.
